Mimi Murphy is thrilled to be back on the air in her hometown of Rockford. She joined the WTVO Channel 17 News Team as the 6 and 10 pm News Anchor in September of 2010.
Mimi is an East High School grad and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Northern Illinois University.
She enjoys sharing her love of music, singing at various community events. In her spare time, Mimi loves to do outdoor activities. Her hobbies include swimming, skiing and biking. Mimi is a big sports fan and especially loves the Chicago Bears.
Mimi and her husband Nino have two children and two big dogs who keep them busy and always entertained.
